This week is one of those crazy, headspinning weeks.
Soccerpractice:ballet:drums:piano:soccermeeting:soccerparties:schoolstuff.
Ugh.
I'm so glad tomorrow is a holiday.
We have big plans which include
sleeping in
{ha - in my dreams},
cleaning the inside of the car,
vacuuming the stairs,
cleaning out the refrigerator,
and maybe grabbing a movie.
Tomorrow, in addition to all of the other junk I need to do,
I'm also still working on the Happy Day Project.
I'm a little behind, but it's ok.
Day two - handwritten note: check.
Day three - giftcard to homeless: to do.
Day four - book to a friend: to do.
So in between all of the crazy,
we'll make a detour to the bookstore tomorrow.
I will NOT peek into the crafting section.
I will NOT peek into the sewing section.
I will NOT peek into the decorating or photography or new releases section.
And tonight when the kids are in bed
and I finally sit down to watch The Office
{i miss michael scott}
I'll work on this.
I'm crocheting a blanket.
Just for fun.
When I told my husband what I was doing,
he called me a grandma.
Whatever.
See you tomorrow.
Love,
Granny

happy day - one.
Maybe you've heard?
Julie and Jeannett - two of the kindest gals you'll ever meet -
had this fantastic idea.
They have this awesome week planned called:
In a nutshell,
do something kind and unexpected for someone every day this week.
Spread some sunshine.
Yesterday was 'bring a treat to a neighbor' day.
I can do that.
So last night,
while dinner was cooking
{pot roast and veggies that my children were convinced were poison}
I made some pumpkin bread.
Just the Krusteaz mix from Costco - nothing fancy.
{but that stuff is good! have you tried it?}
I baked it in a disposable pan and we took it to some neighbors we had yet to meet.
{in the YEAR we've lived in this house. sad.}
Avery and I walked the bread to the neighbors' house
a little ways down the street.
I almost didn't ring the bell, because their house was dark.
But when I did, the sweetest lady answered the door
and we had a lovely conversation.
I hope she could feel the sunshine.
{even if it was pitch black when we delivered that bread.}
Want to spread some sunshine yourself?
It's not too late.
Today is 'handwritten note day'.
You don't even have to crack an egg for that one. :)
Just a note
{written - not texted or emailed - on paper! with a pen! remember those?}
to tell someone you're thinking of them.
I have some stationery I've been dying to use.
Today's the day.
